Student Council Update:
We will have an all-school party on Thursday, October 31 in place of advisory and WIN Times (1:45-3:30 pm). This is a meaningful way for our entire school to come together, build community, and have fun together! The party will have many great activities, including the following: a dodgeball tournament, dancing and music, swimming in our awesome pool, a quiet games room, a movie room, coloring contest, and a few games for kids to play. Snacks will be available to purchase (cash only–lunch accounts cannot be used). There will also be a couple of games available for kids to play for a small fee ($1.00), with all proceeds going to student council to be able to continue to provide for our school.

On Friday, November 8, all sixth graders will be taking a field trip to the Minnesota History Center to extend our learning from history class. As a part of the state standards for sixth grade, kids are learning about what led to MN becoming a state, what happened after MN became a state, and some of the unique aspects of MN today. While at the museum, the kids will explore the many exhibits, as well as attend an interactive lesson entitled “Play the Past.” Permission slips will be coming home in mid-October, and the estimated cost of the trip will be $15. We will leave school at 9:00am and return around 3:15pm. Chaperones will be needed, so if your schedule allows, please plan to join us. There is no cost for chaperones. There will be a spot on the permission slip to indicate your interest in joining us. If you have any questions about this field trip, please reach out to your child’s advisor.
