On Friday, November 8, all sixth graders will be taking a field trip to the Minnesota History Center to extend our learning from history class. As a part of the state standards for sixth grade, kids are learning about what led to MN becoming a state, what happened after MN became a state, and some of the unique aspects of MN today. While at the museum, the kids will explore the many exhibits, as well as attend an interactive lesson entitled “Play the Past.” Permission slips will be coming home in mid-October, and the estimated cost of the trip will be $15. We will leave school at 9:00am and return around 3:15pm. Chaperones will be needed, so if your schedule allows, please plan to join us. There is no cost for chaperones. There will be a spot on the permission slip to indicate your interest in joining us. If you have any questions about this field trip, please reach out to your child’s advisor.
