Specialized Services Hosting Parent Education Night January 18th

The Specialized Education Services Team is  hosting, Parent Education Night – “United for Independence.” Parents/Guardians of learners receiving specialized education services and their families are invited to attend an evening event designed to support collaboration between home and school. Participants will have the opportunity to personalize their learning by choosing from a variety of sessions that target their interests and needs. Sessions will include school transition panels, supporting positive behaviors at home and community, assistive technology, and much more. PRMS PTO Seeking Showcase Donations

Pioneer Ridge Middle School PTO is asking for your help! The Showcase of Excellence program will be held on Thursday, March 1st, 2018. This night is truly a celebration of all of our 6th, 7th and 8th grade students where they showcase their successes to you. The Fine Arts programs will be featured along with performances from our outstanding Choir, Band and Orchestra throughout the evening. In addition, work in other curricular areas will be displayed and shared with you. This evening is our largest annual event for our students and families. During the Showcase of Excellence, the PTO will be hosting a Silent Auction and Raffle to raise funds for the PTO which in turn is used to support all students with classroom materials and other educational opportunities that are not easily obtained otherwise. Metro Transit offers a Transit Assistance Program (TAP) to make public transit more affordable for low-income residents in eastern Carver County. PRMS Advisory Update

Don’t forget the chance to have a conversation with your child(ren) about his/her Monthly Learning Reflection!  Hopefully this was a great opportunity for your child(ren) to share his/her reflection of how the month went at school, academically and behaviorally, including choices made for WIN times. Monthly Learning Reflection On Fridays students spend time reflecting on their week.  They reflect on their academic pacing in their courses (ahead of pace, on pace, or behind pace), on their WIN time selections and their behavior throughout the week.  During this time, advisors are conferencing with advisees to support his/her choices throughout the week.  On the last Friday of the month, students complete a Monthly Learning Reflection on their overall progress.  This is completed during advisory by each student for the purpose of sharing at home.  The expectation for students is that they will bring their Monthly Learning Reflection home to discuss their progress with you.  We are...
