Eastern Carver County School (ECCS) District’s Chanhassen Elementary School was one of 353 schools recognized nationwide as a National Blue Ribbon School for 2023. Nine schools in Minnesota received the honor this year. The recognition is based on a school’s overall academic performance or progress in closing achievement gaps among student groups on assessments. Only 202 schools from Minnesota have been awarded this prestigious recognition since the program started in 1983. This is the first time an ECCS school has received the award.
